The Return of the Borough Park Lodge #409 Holiday Toy Drive: children in hospital during the holidays is especially distressing. We have secured an invitation from NYU Langone (formerly Winthrop) and Coney Island Hospital. Are we to sit by and watch as casual observers or shall we take action. What say you?
The War in Israel: We are seeking suggestions for how we can be of service to Israel at this critical time. As the median age of our members is 75, a group of members going to Israel might not be feasible. So, what do you think we could do to help?
2023/2034 Dues are due: Once again we will be collecting dues for the 2023/2024 fiscal year. This will be the last year for our annual dues to remain at $65.00. For the fiscal year 2024/2025 our dues will be $85.00 in keeping with our Bylaws.
For your consideration: Take time to read our Bylaws from 2007-2008, the last year we printed our bylaws, Section 12 DUES: The regular contribution or dues of each beneficial member, associate member, or non-beneficial member shall be the Grand Lodge Per Capita tax =$65.00 plus $20.00 per year.
Have you got game? Every Sunday (weather permitting) several seniors (your editor included) gather at Coney Island Park (Neptune and 27th Street) or Marine Park, to play doubles tennis. If you have game and would like to join us, call Fran Schwartz at 347-794-1315 for the Sunday tennis match! For Pickles contact Gus.
